Riverside County Anti Human Trafficking Task Force : Day Of Action
A Day of Action and Awareness to combat Human Trafficking in Riverside County Created by SafeHouse and The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, The Riverside County Anti- Human Trafficking Task Force ( RCAHT) seeks to build community awareness and combat the crime of Human Trafficking.
As of April 1, 2013, certain businesses are required to post a notice informing the public and victims of human trafficking of telephone hotline numbers to seek help or report unlawful activity. There are specific posting mandates, language requirements, and penalties for failure to post.
SafeHouse is organizing volunteers to educate certain businesses (hotels, urgent care, truck stops, etc. ) about Human Trafficking and hand out posters that will ensure all necessary establishments are in compliance with the law.
We hope to canvass the desert cities on May 14, 2016 and need as many volunteers as possible. Those under 21 can volunteer with an accompanying adult.
Download the POSTER HERE.
Posters must now be displayed in:
Airports, Bus Stations, Rest Stops, Hotels, Motels, Urgent Care Centers, Emergency Rooms, Truck Stops, Farm Labor Contractors, Liquor Stores and Convenience Stores that sell alcohol, Adult Businesses, Privately Operated Job Recruitment Centers, Massage or other Body Work Businesses.
There are specific posting mandates for these businesses and penalties for a failure to post.
