Where's Your Teen? On The Street Or In Your Home?
We hope you know the answer to that question. But before you get to the point of having to answer a question like that, get acquainted with Operation SafeHouse and our Emergency Shelter, Drug Abuse, Teen and Family counseling programs. Why? Because it is hard enough to be a teen but even harder to be a parent of a teen...and we understand those challenges.
Whether your teen is facing addiction challenges, teen pregnancy, thoughts of suicide, gender identity issues or family strife in the home, you and your teen are not alone as long as Operation SafeHouse is on your side. We provide immediate help to youth and families experiencing crisis situations. When families come to us, they’re usually at their wit’s end—parents are frustrated and children don’t know where to turn. Our staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for teens and their families who need help negotiating the often challenging road from childhood to independent adult life.
In business for nearly 20 years and with shelters in Riverside and Thousand Palms, Operation SafeHouse is well equipped to handle runaways, homeless and other youth in crisis. If your teen doesn't know where else to go, they are always welcome at our shelters—all they have to do is show up.
As a parent, if you are interested in early intervention, we encourage you to call us and set up a screening for your child. At the screening, they meet with a Marriage and Family Therapist who tells them more about what they can expect to receive from our holistic approach and listens to the struggles they’re having.
Finally, a sense of relief...of hope.
After being admitted to our program, your teen participates in a structured, 21-day program that gives them and you hope that things CAN get better—trust CAN be rebuilt, lines of communication CAN be reopened. Your teen sees a therapist on a daily basis, participates in group therapy with other teens and receives the daily structure and support they need to make a start at resolving the conflicts they’re having.
As a parent, you are involved every step of the way - attending weekly family counseling sessions and being encouraged to participate in parenting classes - while your child is in the program and after they graduate.
We’re here for families in crisis, every hour of every day - Operation SafeHouse!
